As a potential supplier of feeder calves, finished cattle or bulls for the Laura's Lean Beef Company program, the undersigned hereby agrees that he/she will follow the Laura's Lean Beef Company management procedures for producing cattle that may be offered to Laura's Lean Beef Company in the future, specifically:

- That in producing cattle for Laura's Lean Beef Company, the following are prohibited from use:

-  antibiotics, including ionophores

-  growth hormones, growth promotants or steroids

-  feeds containing reprocessed animal tissue, fecal material, garbage or food waste

- That the animals will be raised from birth in a humane manner, following good animal husbandry practices.

The Producer hereby acknowledges receipt of the Laura's Lean Beef Company Animal Husbandry Guidelines.

This document does not constitute an offer to sell, no an offer to buy, any particular livestock. The Producer will be required to execute a Cow/Calf or Feedlot Affidavits with Laura's Lean Beef Company prior to each shipment of livestock.

Animal Husbandry Guidelines

Antibiotics are not to be fed to cattle entering the Laura's Lean Beef Company program. Some of the antibiotics commonly used with cattle include, but are not limited to: Chlortetracycline, Oxytetracycline and Tylosin. The antibiotic ionophores are also included in this classification. They include Monensin, Lasalocid and Laidlomycin.

Growth promoting hormones cannot be used in the feed or via implant. This includes Melengestrol Acetate (MGA), which is fed, and steroids. Implants including, but not limited to: estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and zeranol. Steroids cannot be used as a therapeutic treatment to any ailments.

Cattle may be fed only natural feed rations such as grass, legumes, hay, hay silage, grain silage, grain and supplements made from grains or grasses.

Cattle produced for Laura's Lean Beef Company should be managed to minimize morbidity and mortality. Laura's Lean Beef recommends an aggressive preventative health program including all vaccination against clostridial and respiratory diseases, internal and external parasite control, and a balanced supply of minerals and vitamins to enhance immunity.

Any cattle receiving treatment with antibiotics will be identified and removed from the program.
