Premium for Bulls

Laura's Lean Beef is constantly looking for exotic bulls (Limousin, Charolais, Simmental, Gelbvieh, etc.) to use in our ground products. We pay premiums for lean, heavy muscled cull bulls. We pay $100 per head premium above the slaughter bull market for bulls free of antibiotics and added growth hormones from birth until slaughter (cradle to grave). We pay $50 per head premium for bulls free of antibiotics and added growth hormones for 20 months prior to slaughter.

Premiums for Cattle

Laura's Lean Beef will pay a premium over market price for cattle. Premiums are over cash price for cattle in the weight ranges shown in your market area.

Our producers have two choices on how to sell their cattle. They forward contract cattle from weaned calves to finished cattle based on cash prices at that time, or the cattle can be priced based on cash market at the time of delivery. In both situations, Laura's Lean Beef will pay a premium over the cash market. The amount of the premium will be based on the quality, uniformity, management and location of the cattle.

Cow/calf producers and finishers are also eligible for a bonus over the contracted price. The cow-calf bonus plan is available to producers with semi-truck load lots. Retained ownership producers are eligible for both the cow-calf and finisher bonus.
